Thank you for your prayers! We all crossed safely back over the border shortly after noon, and by the time this is posted everyone should be home or extremely close to home.
Although we were done with the build, today was still a day for ministry. We were able to stop by the home of a family who had a house built for them several years ago. They now help with other home builds, including the one we worked on this weekend. We were able to bless them with a new barbecue grill (you can see their old one below), along with some toys for their kids and others. We also stopped back by the home we worked on this week and drop off a couple more things for them and some dresses for them to help distribute to others. We had a smooth border crossing and safe drive home. We enjoyed being able to minister to others this weekend due to your support, and we are glad to be back home!

Today was our final day of the build. We started out the morning prepping for the final layer of stucco. As some worked on getting that done, others began assembling some of the items that were purchased for the family: including a small grill, and a shelving unit to operate as a closet/storage.
Once again, thank you all for your prayers. Please continue to pray for safe travels back across the border tomorrow as we head home. Pictures from today are below: We’re a little later posting today’s update because it was a long work day, but so much was accomplished!
The house went from just a foundation to having walls, a roof, and the first layer of stucco. The team worked hard helping with getting the walls up, prepping them for stucco, mixing the stucco, and even shopping for some additional supplies for the family we are working with. Tomorrow we will be finishing the build and turning over the keys along with some gifts to the family. As you continue to pray for us, I want to echo the prayer from our team leader tonight which was that when we leave this house tomorrow we will be leaving behind much more than just a new building. Please pray for the lives that will be impacted from this build. As always, thank you for your prayers. Pictures from today are below: We got an early start this morning and headed to join the other church involved in the build at their campsite. There, we received some instructions for the day and prayed together before heading to the build site. Most of us help sort rocks and sand which we then used to along with water and cement to prepare concrete for the house’s foundation. Other parts of the team poured and finished the foundations and began framing the walls for the house. All in all it was a great, if a little tiring, day. We look forward to seeing the house shape up tomorrow and the great things God has in store. Keep scrolling below to see some pics from the day! Leaving our hotel
Our team (Mitch, Mona, Harold, Lynn, Tracy, Susie, Michele, Denny, Barb, Vic, Jade. Larry) left the church shortly before 9am yesterday and made it safely to Puerto Penasco. We appreciate all the prayers and the great group who came out to pray over us just before we left at the office. Please be in pray that things go smoothly for the first work day. Also pray for safe travels for Joy who will be joining us on Saturday.
